Monday Night Football kicks off big month at home for Fisher FC

The Fish have three home games in February, starting with an important clash with Cray Valley on Monday night.

bring_fisher_home_poster_wall-1We’ve had great support at our recent Champion Hill fixtures and we’ll need you to get behind us again as we look to build on the three points won last time out. The match on Monday 9th February kicks off at 7.45pm, and don’t forget that our concession price of just £4 applies to anyone aged 16-21, over 60 or who is unwaged. Under 16s get in for FREE when accompanied by an adult.

Fisher boss Dean Harrison has continued to add talented local players to his squad. Rotherhithe boy Hassan Ibrahim is a full-back who was recently at Hampton and Richmond Borough, while from down the road in Greenwich comes youngster Emmanuel Saheed who has come through the youth ranks at Tonbridge Angels. Also signing for the Fish is forward Keanu Williams – the 18 year old is a former Watford schoolboy.

With no league game scheduled for this Saturday 7th February, Fisher will take on Kent Invicta League side Orpington in a friendly fixture, giving Harrison a chance to see his new signings in match action, as well as providing an opportunity for players to stake a claim for a place in the starting XI. The match kicks off at 3pm and will take place on the 3G pitch at Bishop Justus School, Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley BR2 8HZ (not far from Holmesdale’s Oakley Road ground). There will be no admission charge.

The Fish are also at home on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, when we take on Erith Town in a really important fixture. We’ll have a special prize draw to reward you for venturing out – and of course you can always bring your loved to Champion Hill for the game!

We also encourage Fisher fans to attend Champion Hill on Wednesday 11th February when a Dulwich Hamlet XI will take on Stonewall FC in a friendly. The match is part of Hamlet’s outstanding anti-homophobia campaign, and it should be a competitive game with Stonewall, who play in the Middlesex County League Division 1, part of the National League System. Stonewall are also the gay football World Champions. Admission is just £3 for adults, £1 concessions with all proceeds going to the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
