Enfield Town vs Metropolitan Police

Saturday 16 Jan – kick off 3pm
Ryman League Premier Division
Queen Elizabeth II Stadium
3 Donkey Lane
Enfield EN1 3PL
» Location

Ello Ello Ello, it’s a fair cop, what do you say ETFC:
It will be good to see if Town can reproduce the effort they put in against Dulwich last weekend. There should be no tired legs after a full week to recover with Tuesday’s game against Finchley rained off. It will be over a week since the Police were last in action and while the break is probably too short for them to get rusty, the weather just might do it!

One defeat in their last five games and three goals scored in their last two, the Met are likely to put up a bit of a fight. But if Town can play like they did against league leaders Dulwich on Saturday they will be in with more than a shout. Not many of the 2300 who were at Champion Hill will have disputed Town’s massive role in the game and there will have been a little bit of relief in the Dulwich ranks that they took all three points. A little more luck and the game would have been a lot more interesting from a Town perspective.

It’s now time to push on and make sure this week Town take their chances. They certainly created enough of them last week to please Brad Quinton who went on record to say how proud he was of his players. Met Police have pulled off two good wins against Finchley and Canvey and will want to add Town to that list. But they will have their work cut out if Town take the game to them like they did at Dulwich.

Erith Town vs Fisher FC

Saturday 16 Jan – kick off 3pm
Southern Counties East
Badgers Sports ground
Middle Park Avenue
London SE9 5HT
» Location

Fisher are hanging on by their fingernails. A kind of South London derby should generate some fiery football. Erith have only lost one game at home this season so Fisher needs to be firing on all cylinders to come away with a result.
